Personality Disorders Update

At the Annual Meeting of the American Psychiatric Association in New York City this month (May, 2024), I was asked to be interviewed on video, to review recent developments in our understanding of the personality disorders. As you know, the NPSP25 does not focus on personality disorders, but it reviews the wide range of normal personality styles. However, the Personality Style/Disorder Continuum (accessible on the website homepage) shows how the various styles, if too extreme, might correlate with the personality disorders. For those of you interested in that end of the spectrum, where impairment in functioning can be substantial, the video linked above might be of interest.
